Setola Chest of Drawers
We came across this mid-century chest of drawers at an auction, it was looking pretty sorry for its self. Scratched, broken handles, wobbly, but we saw the potenital it in and we are chuffed with the end result!
Once we fixed the legs and removed the broken handles, the next step was fine sanding the whole thing to remove any marks and scratches.
Ollie used two delicate colours from Annie Sloans chalk paint range... "Chicago Grey", a cool, fresh and modern grey for the body along with "Svenska Blue", a crisp and cool toned blue-grey on the legs. The same blue was to do the line work, so it tied in nicely with his fabric choice, “Setola" from Harlequin.
We got our wood worker friend Josh to hand turn these wonderful dark stained handles, out of Ash.
This is the perfect piece for rooms with calmer colour tones but will still add a statement to the room!
Ollie used a clear wax on the piece and a varnish on the fabric to make it durable.
