Order a sample of our Gilbert upholstery fabric in the Derry colourway to experience the colour, scale and detail in person.

A deep tobacco brown with rich cinnamon warmth creates an earthy, enveloping palette. Grounded and sophisticated, it gives the Art Deco pattern depth without feeling overly heavy.

Available on both 100% linen and recycled velvet, allowing you to compare finish and feel depending on your application.

Linen offers a natural, textured finish suited to curtains, cushions and light upholstery, while recycled velvet provides a richer, more saturated appearance with a soft, tactile feel, suited to headboards and heavier upholstery.

Customisation & Order Details:

  • Available on two base cloths: Recycled velvet and 100% linen.
  • By the metre: Multiple metres will be supplied as one continuous length wherever possible.

Yevheniia Vynokurova Headshot

Yevheniia Vynokurova

Ukrainian artist Yevheniia Vynokurova talks about her inspiration and the meanings behind the tigers that caught the attention of design house Patience and Gough and sparked the collaboration.

Artist Yevheniia Vynokurova says of her designs, “I’ve come a very short way as an artist, but I feel the importance of my mission to create something incredible and beautiful because it makes me happy that people can smile when they look at my illustrations. The tiger is a symbol of energy, and strength, as well as a symbol of good luck and beauty. Inspired by Eastern mythology, I imagined the essence of these animals and by drawing the tigers I started a dialogue with myself, and with many others, for whom my tigers have become a talisman.”

As Yevheniia beautifully puts it, her tigers are more than illustrations – they’re talismans of courage and resilience. Through this collection, our fabric is given a layer of meaning far beyond the material.
