Patience & Gough marquetry takes pattern beyond textiles, translating our signature designs into wood veneer, metal, mother-of-pearl and other decorative materials. Any element of our patterns can be isolated, enlarged, reduced or reworked at almost any scale, allowing the design to become framed wall art, full-height decorative panels, built-in cabinetry or bespoke furniture.
The same approach can also be applied to a client’s own pattern, artwork or design, creating completely bespoke marquetry compositions developed around the scale, palette and architecture of an interior
BESPOKE MARQUETRY
Each composition is handcrafted using carefully cut veneers and traditional marquetry techniques, interpreted through a contemporary approach to pattern and material.
With access to more than 555 veneers from Italian veneer specialist TABU, alongside metal, mother-of-pearl and other decorative finishes, almost every element can be tailored to the commission - from colour and material to pattern, scale and composition.
Marquetry can be created as individual artwork or developed directly into architectural panels, fitted cabinetry and bespoke furniture, allowing the pattern to become part of the interior itself.
