A study in balance: the Shokunin Koshi Bar Cabinet.
A calm, grounded form, defined by an interlaced pattern of veneers and metal overlays that gives the piece its quiet character.
Each panel flows into the next with subtle shifts in tone, creating a surface that feels considered and refined. Sculptural from a distance, and richly detailed up close.
The Koshi Ember finish introduces a darker, more atmospheric palette. Layers of black and charcoal-toned veneers are interwoven with warmer panels, allowing subtle shifts of tone to emerge across the surface. Fine metal inlays catch the light, bringing a quiet warmth that sits just beneath, a balance between shadow and glow that gives the piece its depth.
Designed as a luxury bar cabinet, Koshi also sits within a rarer category of luxury marquetry cabinet, where pattern and material are integrated into the structure of the piece rather than applied as decoration. Its architectural form is softened through material and craftsmanship, allowing it to feel timeless rather than decorative.
Inside, angled drawers allow each bottle to rest at the correct pitch, helping to maintain the integrity of the cork while presenting the collection as a considered display.
The piece is fully customisable, available in light or dark tonal palettes, with metalwork options including brass, nickel or copper. Each cabinet is made to order, offering designers and private clients the opportunity to create a piece tailored precisely to its setting.
A new addition to the Shokunin Bar, the handles are wrapped in fine leather with meticulous hand stitching. Their softly curved metal detailing creates a subtle ombré effect, each one resting over a sculpted, three-dimensional surface carved directly into the wood beneath.
