Every piece begins with a conversation.

Whilst the architectural framework remains constant, the choice of stone, finishes and detailing allows each design to become uniquely tailored to its setting. We work closely with clients, interior designers and architects to develop a material palette that feels entirely appropriate to the project.

For private clients, we are happy to guide the stone selection process, helping navigate the vast range of marbles, quartzites, limestones and other natural materials available. From subtle and understated to bold and expressive, every decision is carefully considered to create a piece that feels both timeless and personal.

The result is furniture that is not simply purchased, but designed collaboratively.

The raised timber elements can be specified in a variety of finishes, allowing each piece to become a unique expression of its owner, project or interior scheme.

Clients may choose from existing Patience & Gough designs, including motifs and patterns from our established collections, or commission an entirely bespoke design developed specifically for the project. Working closely with our clients, we can create bespoke marquetry designs inspired by architecture, landscapes, personal stories and meaningful references, allowing each piece to tell its own story.

For those seeking a more restrained aesthetic, the detailing can also be executed in plain timber, metal overlay or a combination of materials, allowing the character of the stone and architectural form to remain the primary focus.

Lead Time:

As each piece is made to order, please allow approximately 12–16 weeks for production following final design approval.

 

Delivery:

Delivery costs are calculated separately once the final specification and destination are confirmed. A quotation can be provided prior to purchase.

 

Where appropriate, stone may be sourced locally to the project, reducing transportation requirements whilst allowing access to a wider range of materials. Alternatively, Patience & Gough can assist with sourcing and specification through our network of trusted suppliers.

 

Furniture is delivered fully assembled wherever possible and securely crated for transport. White-glove delivery and installation services can be arranged upon request.
