Our Penrose Prowl pattern draws on M. C. Escher’s Penrose stairs, an endless, impossible staircase. Combined with the expressive tiger illustrations of Yevheniia Vynokurova. The result is a seamless repeat, rich in detail and movement.
In the Bauhaus colourway, this architectural patterned linen sets a deep midnight blue ground against crisp cream and rich crimson accents, creating a palette defined by contrast and clarity. The composition feels precise and structured, with a strong architectural rhythm running throughout.
Printed on 100% linen, this luxury fabric is suitable for curtains, cushions and light upholstery. The natural texture of the linen softens the edges of the pattern slightly, while maintaining its crisp, graphic quality.

Yevheniia Vynokurova
Ukrainian artist Yevheniia Vynokurova talks about her inspiration and the meanings behind the tigers that caught the attention of design house Patience and Gough and sparked the collaboration.
Artist Yevheniia Vynokurova says of her designs, “I’ve come a very short way as an artist, but I feel the importance of my mission to create something incredible and beautiful because it makes me happy that people can smile when they look at my illustrations. The tiger is a symbol of energy, and strength, as well as a symbol of good luck and beauty. Inspired by Eastern mythology, I imagined the essence of these animals and by drawing the tigers I started a dialogue with myself, and with many others, for whom my tigers have become a talisman.”
As Yevheniia beautifully puts it, her tigers are more than illustrations – they’re talismans of courage and resilience. Through this collection, our fabric is given a layer of meaning far beyond the material.
